27. 2/28/17: Week 27 (18th week in Warsaw): "Yo gonna miss this"

2/28/17
Hi All!

Transfers :) :(
The ":)" is referring to:
-I am staying in Warsaw!
-We moved into a different (no mold!!) apartment!
-I get to learn and grow from a new companion, Sister Stahl!

The ":(" is referring to:
-One of the hardest goodbyes ever....Sister DeMordaunt. Sister D is now serving in Wroclaw. I already miss her dearly. Bye bye, mom :(

Baptism!!!
Toby was baptized on Saturday! Elder Haskett and Elder Barlow taught him. He is so solid and has the strongest testimony! Warsaw is being blessed!

Miracle Alice:
We have been meeting with Alice now for 2 weeks. She showed up to church 2 Sundays ago and wanted to learn more. We've already had 4 meetings! During our Plan of Salvation lesson this week, we talked about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and what that can mean personally to us. We then read this month's visiting teaching message with her, "Of Jesus Christ’s Atonement, Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said: “The Savior’s suffering in Gethsemane and His agony on the cross redeem us from sin by satisfying the demands that justice has upon us. He extends mercy and pardons those who repent. The Atonement of Jesus Christ also satisfies the debt justice owes to us by healing and compensating us for any suffering we innocently endure. ‘For behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam’ (2 Nephi 9:21; see also Alma 7:11–12).”1
Christ has “graven [us] upon the palms of [His] hands” (Isaiah 49:16). Linda K. Burton, Relief Society General President, says, “That supreme act of love ought to send each of us to our knees in humble prayer to thank our Heavenly Father for loving us enough that He sent His Only Begotten and perfect Son to suffer for our sins, our heartaches, and all that seems unfair in our own individual lives.”
I love this. I love that God loves us enough to provide a way back to Him. I know that Christ not only suffered for our sins, but for our: weaknesses, physical pains, shortcomings, etc. TURN TO HIM!
Love you all! Have a great week!
xoxo,
Siostra Talia Beem
